Corals - (Hard)

A great selection of LPS and SPS corals that range from beginner status to advanced. Species include Acropora, Physogyra, and Turbinaria.

Corals (Soft)

Some of the more basic corals to keep are included in this section. Here you will find: Soft Corals, Mushrooms, Polyps, and Gorgonians.

Invertebrates

Invertebrates for your reef and fish only aquarium. Including Giant clams, starfish and a variety of shrimp. A wonderful addition to any system!

Liverock

The basis for virtually every reef tank. Competitively priced Aquarium Live Rock from various locations around the world.

Reef Custodians

Hermit Crabs and Snails are a great addition to any aquarium to help clear up excess food and unwanted algae.

Saltwater (Marine) Fish

Angelfish

Marine Angelfish are perhaps one of the most recognizable animals in the hobby. From Emperor Angels to the ultra rare Conspicuous Angel.

Anthias

Often occurring in huge schools in the wild, Anthias have to be one of the more colorful schooling fish safe for the reef aquarium.

Bass & Basslets

For people with a smaller reef aquarium, basslets make a great addition - they stay small, and are often very colorful.

Batfish

Upon purchasing, don't be fooled by this fish's small size. A batfish can outgrow a smaller aquarium quickly!

Blennies

The majority of blennies are a small fish (under 3"), reef safe, and tend to have a great "personality".

Butterflyfish

As a general rule, butterflies are not reef safe. Although Copperbands have been known to be okay.

Cardinalfish

Besides clownfish, cardinalfish are one the most easily reared species in the home aquarium, and are a safe addition to the reef aquarium.

Clownfish

Clownfish are also related to damselfish and can be very territorial which can cause problems in smaller aquariums when adding new fish.

Damsels and Chromis

If starting a new aquarium and you don't want to have damsels beating on other fish, give the green chromis a try.

Dottybacks

Many of the species we carry are now tank raised through ORA and as such are extremely hardy and seem to be less aggressive.

Dragonets

Dragonets are often referred to blennies and/or gobies. Do not be fooled! This family of fish is much harder to care for!

Eels

From the rare Dwarf Moray, to the ever popular Snowflake Moray, there is just something about eels that intrigues people.

Goatfish

The marine aquarists version of a catfish. These fish are constantly on the move looking for left over food and other goodies on the bottom.

Gobies

Included in this section are the shrimp gobies that pair up with pistol shrimp, sand sifting gobies, and decorative coral gobies.

Hawkfish

The fish without a swim bladder. Hawkfish are a perching fish that swim in short bursts. If they stop swimming, they sink.

Groupers

A favorite of enthusiasts who enjoy predator tanks, a grouper will eat anything it can fit in it's mouth, and sometimes things that don't!

Lionfish

Lionfish are one of the more graceful predators available to hobbyists today. Mainly nocturnal hunters, they use slow motions to approach prey.

Pseudochromis

Two of the more popular species are the Strawberry and Diadema Pseudochromis. Both stay small, look great, and are very hardy.

Puffers

Pufferfish come in a variety of shapes and sizes from the small little Tobies (Valentini puffers, etc.), to the large Dog Face puffers and their relatives.

Seahorses & Pipefish

Many species of seahorses can be expected to be raised in captivity, and J&L Aquatics is proud to offer some of these tank raised animals.

Snappers & Squirrelfish

Snappers and Squirrelfish are not a very common fish imported due to the potential of them to grow to a very large size.

Tangs & Surgeonfish

This family of fish is the reef aquarium premier show fish. Known for their herbivorous diet, they keep your aquarium free of algae.

Triggers & Filefish

Triggerfish as a rule are a fish that eat a lot, and make a big mess doing so. Not only do they eat a lot, they eat anything.

Wrasses and Hogfish

If there's a niche you're looking to fill in your aquarium, regardless of it being a fish only, or a reef tank, there's a wrasse for you!
