Bass & Basslets

For people with a smaller reef aquarium, basslets make a great addition - they stay small, are relatively hardy once established, and are often very colorful.

One of the more popular species is the black-cap noted for it's bright purple coloration and black "cap".

Many basslets tend to be deeper water denizens and do best in aquarium that has an abundant supply of hiding spaces (live rock being best) that they can hide in.
