Batfish

For people with large fish only aquariums, batfish can make a majestic addition.

J&L Aquatics currently only imports two species of batfish. Although they both grow quite large, they are easy to care for. Pinatus batfish (Platax pinatus) are the most colorful fish in this genus, but unfortunately almost impossible to care for in captivity.

Upon purchasing, don't be fooled by this fish's small size. In a matter of months a batfish can outgrow a smaller aquarium, and begin to affect water quality.
