Lionfish

Lionfish are one of the more graceful predators available to hobbyists today. Mainly nocturnal hunters, they use slow motions to approach their prey. Because of this fact, they are not considered reef friendly.

Lionfish will generally leave invertebrates alone but will eat any free swimming animal they can fit in their mouths.

When acclimated your lionfish, be very cautious taking it out of the shipping bag. It's sting can be very painful!

This fish is ideally suited to a predator tank with groupers and such fish for tankmates.
