Snappers & Squirrelfish

Snappers and Squirrelfish are not a very common fish imported due to the potential of them to grow to a very large size.

This is another fish that is best suited to a larger aquarium with lots of swimming space and good water filtration. A predator tank is a good choice for this species.

One of the most beautiful fish in this family is the Highfin Snapper whose dorsal fins get extremely long.

Squirrelfish require an aquarium with ledges and overhangs to hide in.
