The Rena Filstar filter by Aquarium Pharmaceuticals is relatively new compared to Eheim and Fluval, but what a great job they do! Great capacity and flow rates combined with an excellent assortment of media's make this canister filter hard to beat.

They are meant to be used in all the traditional situations one would use a canister - as a primary filter for large fish tanks, or a chemical media (carbon etc.) vessel on a larger reef tank.
