J&L Aquatics is currently offering the following
positions to qualified individuals:
Customer Service Representative
(Entry Level & Experienced Positions)
J&L Aquatics requires individuals who are outgoing and knowledgeable in all aspects of marine fish/invertebrate husbandry. The open position(s) are for our in-store support staff.
The successful candidates main duties will be dealing with the public through answering questions regarding both livestock and equipment. During non-peak periods some light maintenance and/or organization will be required. Applicants must be a team player, punctual, and able to multi-task. Hours for the open position(s) range from full time to part time. Some flexibility in scheduling will be necessary.
The main goal of our customer service is to provide accurate and reliable product information that customers can trust. Successful applicants will have at least 1 year of retail experience (aquarium industry retail experience a definite asset).
Starting wage will be based on past experience and the applicants
track record in our industry.
Livestock Caretaker & Customer Service
(Entry Level & Experienced Positions)
The main responsibility of this applicant will be to work closely with
our other livestock personnel to ensure a clean, healthy environment for
our animals. Duties will include: Cleaning and maintenance of all holding
tanks, water changes, testing, animal husbandry and general support.
Candidates for this position do not need experience in saltwater aquariums,
but must be willing to follow directions, be a team player, and be punctual.
J&L Aquatics is willing to train the right individual. Preference
will be given to individuals looking for permanent full-time employment
with experience in saltwater aquariums and reef-keeping.
Delivery Driver/Warehouse Operations
(Entry Level Position)
This individual will be responsible for all pick-ups, deliveries, inventory
organization, and stock transfers between our warehouse and retail location.
Applicants must possess a valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and be able
to provide a clear driver's abstract. Attention to detail and good organizational
skills are a must. J&L is willing to train the right individual -
no aquarium experience necessary. Preference will be given to individuals
looking for permanent full-time employment.
