Forming low colonies usually of an encrusting nature, Lobophytum sp. can grow quite rapidly. Growth in dish, finger & bowl shapes is not uncommon.
Lobophytum sp. are relatively durable corals that often adapt well to a wide variety of flow conditions. Finger leathers regularly replace their mucus tunic membrane in a manner similar to other leather corals.
Good growth and health can be maintained with high output fluorescent format light, with Metal Halides being first-rate.
Often available in a wide variety of colours including cream, grey, yellow, green and brown.
