Aquarium water is drawn into the canister and through (rather than around) a succession of stacked media trays for full-contact filtration - virtually no bypass! The water is then returned to your aquarium, sparkling-clean, and fish-healthy. And when it's time to service your C-360, all you do is push a lever, turn the key, and lift out the Stack n' Flo Filter Trays.
3 Stage Filtration Process:
- Stage 1 - Mechanical Filtration: The Filter Foam Pads provide a large surface are for screening out dirt and trapping particulate debris.
- Stage 2 - Chemical Filtration: Inside each Carbon Filter Bag, fast-acting Black Diamond Premium Activated Carbon removes odors, discoloration, and impurities.
- Stage 3 - Biological Filtration: The BIO-Filter Balls and ceramic rings provide a large, multi-faceted surface area for the growth of beneficial ammonia-neutralizing bacteria responsible for biological filtration.
- Convenient Tote Handle: Pops up for hassle-free portability.
- Quick Prime Button: Fills filter chamber with water for self-priming system startup.
- Valve Block for Quick Release: Immediately shuts down water flow and separates from motor housing for quick, spill-free filter maintenance.
