Utilizies spray-injection method, which injects tremendous amounts of air into the water chamber allowing the protein skimmer to be far more compact and user friendly, while still outperforming many similar protein skimmers.
These compact foam fractioners are best suited for smaller reef tanks or for those with very limited cabinet space. The Urchin and Urchin Pro can be placed directly on the sump bottom with no adjustment/raising necessary. This makes for instant set-up and hassle-free operation.
