Turbelle stream - A new technology.
Conventional aquarium pumps generate excessively high flow rates in the core area of the water jet, but on the outside of the core area the current is too low. This difference leads to stress for the aquarium inhabitants, such as coral polyps. TUNZE research sets new standards in current patterns with the aim of reproducing every zone of a coral reef in the aquarium. Our new Turbelle stream pumps produce gentle current speeds at high flow rates of up to 13,000 litres (3,434 US gal.) per hour.
In combination with a Single Controller wave simulation can be set precisely (included in this package).
The Single Controller that is included in this kit allows you to electronically control your turbelle powerhead.
Adjust the pulse of the powerhead thus simulating wave action.
Turn pump off for 8-10 minutes while feeding with the push of a single button.
Group several powerheads together (with additional controllers creating an infinite number of water flow possibilities!
An optional photo sensor is available to turn on "night mode" reducing the output of the pumps at night.
