The Ultra Reef BOREI UKB series skimmer is a compact, simple and revolutionary product. Despite its small size, it has an excellent filtration capacity. The BOREI skimmer is intended for smaller aquariums, at an attractive price point, without compromising on the quality and efficiency found in our larger models.

How it Works

The Ultra Reef range of protein skimmers are designed to filter aquariums by removing the surfactants from seawater. It pumps a mixture of Aquarium water and air bubbles into a mixing chamber. By exploiting the properties of the film surface tension between air and water. It generates a dense foam that moves upward into the collection cup where it can be easily removed and cleaned out as necessitates.

The skimmer can be completely disassembled by removing a single screw, making the cleaning and maintenance phases as simple as possible.

A Modern Project

The entire skimmer rotates on its base to open and close the regulation valve. The DC pumps includes an easy-to-use controller, which integrates a speed regulation system, a 60 second "delayed start" (after blackout) and a 5 minutes "pause" button. Through a modular mounting system the skimmer can be easily disassembled by removing a single screw. All the acrylic parts and the mechanisms are assembled by means of coupling systems and Easy Flip gaskets, which allow you to remove all the components during the cleaning of the unit.

Noiseless

Ultra Reef skimmers have an integrated silencer that minimizes the skimmer noise making it virtually silent. The exhaust system is submerged in the base of the skimmer for silent operation as the clean water is discharged back into the tank. Rubber feet are installed under the base to absorb all vibrations and avoid annoying resonances
